KeptWell is free today. It will not be free forever, because building software that protects a family's medical records costs real money, and we'd rather charge the families who can pay than sell anything about the families who can't.
When we set a price, here's what we promise about how we'll set it.
- A fair, named price.
- One subscription, one number, on this page. No upsells, no usage meters that surprise you, no "starter" plans that turn out to be useless.
- No family priced out.
- We don't believe a family should lose access to their own medical records because the bill comes during the worst month of their life. KeptWell will run a sponsored-access program funded by donations from families who can pay. Anyone who needs covered access can request it, no income verification, no paperwork beyond a short form. The donate button will live on this page once paid plans launch.
- We'll tell you the price before we charge it.
- Every existing user gets at least 60 days' notice and the option to export everything if they don't want to continue.
What we will never do
These are the things we will never do, regardless of pricing. They are commitments, not marketing copy.
- We won't sell your data.
- Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to insurers, not to pharma, not to anyone, in any form, ever.
- We won't show you ads.
- Not in the app, not in emails, not anywhere.
- We won't train AI models on your records.
- Anthropic (whose Claude model powers KeptWell) is contractually prohibited from training on anything we send them, under a signed Business Associate Agreement.
- We won't put marketing tracking pixels on logged-in pages.
- Your medical records are not a conversion event.
- We won't lock you in.
- You can export everything in your circle as a ZIP at any time. Cancellation is one click. Account deletion removes your data within 30 days.
If we ever change one of these, the change will be flagged at the top of this page and emailed to every account.
